Three Years Of Non-Stop Travel

By nature it seems I’ve traveled a lot since I can remember. My parents are pretty fun and adventurous people so by default I always tagged along with them as a kid. Some of my favorite memories include being with my family party of 30+ in the Bahamas, yearly Disney Trips as kids, and weekend trips a few hours drive away.

Needless to say in the last three years I’ve been able to have my fair share of travel with family, friends, significant others… and people I’ve never met. But let’s not harp on the last one there. Since finishing my masters I’ve been able to leave my home base of Dallas at least once a month if not more to explore another city/country, etc. Within 2024 alone up until October I’ve visited Lakeway, Cancun, Houston, Oregon, Vancouver, some of the best hiking areas of Washington, Seattle, Louisiana, Las Vegas for the Super Bowl, Napa, San Francisco, Vatican City, Cannes, Ibiza, Mallorca, Pisa, Cagliari, Rome, Napoli, Florence, Barcelona, Austin, Seattle again, Miami again, Tiburon, and San Francisco again. And there’s still two months left in the year so who knows where I’ll be in the near future.

I know it’s a little in cohesive to throw in cities and states when categorizing but each of these places and trips have held so many great memories with the people I was with along with the experience of the places I’ve seen.

From partying in different cities and states until 5AM with my friends and sister, to hiking and damn near passing out from heat exhaustion in the CA dessert on a second date, to spending time with my parents, filling up entire restaurants in different cities with our family of 30+ half being kids under 10, waking up to open ocean sunrises on cruises, road tripping the PNW with one of my closest friends, getting on yachts with questionable characters, dumping shots on the floor at epilepsy inducing clubs because who really likes the taste or calories from alcohol; these travels and memories have impacted me in such a way that I can’t fathom feeling how I felt at my lowest almost four years ago anymore.

After all, life is worth living.

Until Next Time,

KLV
