In honor of finishing my first business course through Harvard Business School today I wanted to share this sentiment that I’ve lived by forever.
From my journey through education earning undergraduate and graduate degrees, to neuroscience research, and earning certifications after higher education: I truly believe you can never be over educated. If anything interests you in the slightest, I highly recommend that you learn as much as you can on the topic. Learning is a privilege that not everyone has. If you’re reading this you more than likely have the resources to do so.
Simultaneously I believe dressing your best and putting your best foot forward in the world is just as important. Who will care for you more than you? I find that it’s a form of self care, self love, and self respect. The discipline to get up and get ready everyday is also not something every one possesses and is a privilege as some do not have the resources. The way you present yourself opens doors to opportunities you may have not had before. For myself it’s allowed me to work with renowned brands like VS Pink.
With this post my action items to you are to go out and educate yourself on whatever may interest you (even if it’s just reading a book) and to get up and get ready for the day in your best attire. Take care of yourself mentally and physically, at the end of the day if you don’t then who will?
