Over Achieving

Owning a home in one of the well known cities in the world on my own at the age of 24. Getting a promotion at one of my first corporate jobs at 23. Graduating with my masters during the second world shut down due to covid at 22. Earning my university degree and graduating during the first world shut down due to covid at 21. Earning a sponsorship with Victoria’s Secret PINK from blogging and instagram at 20. Getting into my top choice neuroscience research lab at 19. Earning scholarships to cover my first year of university at 18- these are achievements that at one point my earlier self thought were going to happen later in life or not going to happen at all.

Over achieving has its pros and cons. On one hand a life goal of mine was to start owning property and building a strong real estate portfolio by the ago of 30. Having accomplished every goal I have set for myself earlier than possible has led me to believe in myself and truly feel that I can do anything I set out to do.

On the other hand it makes me feel that I need to set a new goal to achieve after each one is accomplished so early on. I’m always working on something to improve myself or my life and truly have enjoyed the journey of reaching the goals. “Figuring out” what goal to set next and putting extended pressure on myself has been something I have struggled with. I always have the feeling that I could be doing “more” while acknowledging I have done more than most people will ever set out to do in this lifetime.

Normally I like to tie a message with each blog post. If you gather anything from this, it should be to never stop striving to achieve your full potential. Often times, you can do more than you think you can.

What lies next? Check back in the near future to find out!

Until Next Time,

xx
