Staying At Home More (Really, I mean it this time.)

Finally taking the time to slow down and enjoy my mortgage more. That is one thing I am vowing to myself this upcoming year. Traveling once to thrice a month was taking a toll on my body physically for the last four years. The first three months of this year have already been packed with back to back travels.

I recall getting back from a tour of the pacific north west last February where I traveled all of Washington from Seattle to Leavenworth, Oregon, and Vancouver in a span of 5 days to go back to Dallas and get on a flight the next day to head to the Super Bowl in Las Vegas. Body shivering, head throbbing, I genuinely thought I was not going to be able to walk off the plane. This resulted from no sleep the night before and the day before that I was frolicking bare foot along a beautifully rainy Canon beach in a dress, barefoot, with heels in my hand in the dead of winter. A terrible idea in hindsight as my toes were frozen red and swollen as a result of borderline frost bite.

As I take this time to live at a somewhat slower pace I’m not halting my travels completely, just being more intentional with future travel plans. I’d like to reflect a bit more on my past travels as I feel I was never able to fully process them. As soon as one trip was over I was repacking for the next.

A slower pace of life would be nice but I am thankful for the health, relationships, time, and freedom to have experienced the travels I have. I’m going to be enjoying life at home to the fullest while investing more time and energy into my business ventures and fitness goals. Getting to enjoy my time in this great city I get to call home has proven to be a blessing its own right. It seems I’ve managed to have a pretty packed schedule at home for the last few weeks.

Stay tuned to see what’s next.

Until Next Time,

xx
