So I volunteer every Saturday, and I’ve found that every volunteering opportunity has truly been a blessing. From the buddies I’ve had in Miracle League, to meeting new people, and to even spending time with the friends I already have; every second is an enjoyable one. Honestly, I don’t get out much and when I do it’s usually to volunteer or for school purposes.
Today I woke up at six to go to school and help set up for Walk It Out which is an event that I have attended since my freshman year of high school. It’s always enjoyable and I recommend you to attend if you can! At seven I went to Fort Worth to participate in the March Of Dimes which was also a pleasant experience. 🙂 I worked out yesterday in preparation for it, but honestly I probably didn’t need to because there was so many people that the walkways were extremely crowded causing everyone to walk really slow. Hot, sweaty, and tired, but when you have someone to walk it with the time passes by extremely quick. I’m so fortunate to have a friend that I can talk to for hours without getting bored!
After I went over to the coolest person’s house, ate pizza, watched a funny movie that made us laugh til it hurt, and then walked to get drinks from Orchid. Minus my pinky toes swelling up to the size of Jupiter, today was amazing. I am so blessed to have the life, family, and friends that surround me everyday.
